Flight Operations Management

The University of Cappadocia Flight Operations Management Program was established in 2015 and is the first program authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) within a university in Turkey. In line with national and international civil aviation regulations, the programme aims to provide the sector with a direct qualified workforce based on flight safety and operational efficiency

Flight Operations Managers (Dispatchers) assume responsibility for a wide range of tasks, from flight planning to air traffic control coordination, airspace management to operational risk analysis. In the program, the educational process carried out in accordance with the SHGM approved curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge and practical training in

a balanced way.

Training and Practice

Within the scope of the program authorized by SHGM, students:

  • With simulation-based lessons that improve real-time operational decision making skills
  • Has the opportunity to receive direct training from experienced and licensed dispatchers who serve in flight operations.
  • Gains industry experience before graduation by doing internships within the framework of cooperation protocols with Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and similar industry-leading companies.

Right to Apply for a License

Students who successfully complete the program receive the right to apply for the Flight Operations Specialist (Dispatcher) license issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. This degree empowers graduates to serve in national and international airlines and greatly increases employment opportunities in the industry.
