Aircraft Maintenance Departments
The University of Cappadocia runs three programs aimed at training the competent technical human resources needed by the civil aviation sector:
These programs are offered within the university's School of Applied Sciences and the Cappadocia Vocational School, accredited by SHGM (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and structured in accordance with international standards.
Competencies and Authorizations
Cappadocia University is among the number of institutions in Turkey with the authority of SHT-147 Aircraft Maintenance Personnel Training and Examination Organization; it has the authority to grant students the title of licensed aircraft maintenance technician. Program-based authorizations are as follows:
Moreover, the University of Cappadocia is one of the number of Resource Provider institutions authorized by SHGM for the Technical English Examination of Aircraft Maintenance Personnel.
At the international level, the university is authorized by the Republic of Azerbaijan with the AAR-147 authorization; in this context, it has trained technicians in category A1 for Azerbaijan Airlines.

Students who graduate from these programs are able to work as aircraft maintenance technicians in both national airlines and international maintenance-repair (MRO) companies by completing the SHY-66 degree process. With the documents and competencies obtained, they have the opportunity to serve in Turkish Airlines, SunExpress, Pegasus, TUSAŞ
and global aviation maintenance organizations.
